Dani grew up in London in a day-dreamer’s haze of writing stories, playing guitar and, kind of randomly, sewing. Naturally, she then thought it best to pursue a degree in Biology in the hopes of becoming a clinical geneticist. . . That didn’t happen.

But she did cultivate a fascination in human evolution, going on to become an Early Years teacher which kept her rather busy for a few years. Her passions for writing and all-things-science, however, never dwindled, and ended up merging to form a novel, Good Night, Humans. It’s got a creepy evolved-human species in it, and Dani was lucky enough that it got picked up for agent representation.

Dani now lives in Amsterdam with her husband, soaking up inspiration from the canals and working on new projects, most of which are of a magical nature.
